January 2013
Today.... it's COLD & Ugly Again.

WOW!!! Has it really been this long since I last blogged?  The life of a mommy is busy and before I know it, it's been another year!!!  These Monkeys of mine keeping growing. I wish I had a way to slow this growing up process down.   They are my everything and much more.   This picture was back in September 2011.

I was so cold all I wanted to do was curl up in my warm, comfy bed.  So, I did!
Ellen came on.   An Ellen fix is what I needed. I was cracking up instantly!  She really is FUNNY!  How did she know I was in an "inversion fog"??  Her monologue today was, "I am tired of standing in the same place" what if I wanted to stand here or there?? Its OK to change things up.
Yes Ellen, its OK to change things up!!!! How many days has it been in the single digits?? Too long!! Everyday I don't want to go outside but I end up going out because that's what moms do! What mom can be LAZY and lay in bed all day??? Hey, its OK to change things up a bit!!  Ellen said so!!!  I stayed in bed watching Ellen.  I laughed so hard my tummy hurt.
After Ellen, the laundry was still a MILE high!!

"Forget-Me-Not"

A post I never posted......
I love the SIMPLE beauty of this flower!  I didn't even know there was a "Forget-me-not" flower.  Who knew it was ALASKA'S state flower??

Words from President Uchtdorf:
"No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you.  In fact, He loves you, with an infinite love."
Using the forget-me-not flower as a metaphor, President Uchtdorf noted that although the flower is small in size, and easily unnoticed among larger flowers, it is still beautiful and vibrant.

President Uchtdorf tied the five petals of the forget-me-not flower to five things women should not forget.

~Forget not to be patient with yourself
~Forget not the difference between a good sacrifice and a foolish sacrifice
~Forget not to be happy now
~Forget not to be be happy now
~Forget not the "why" of the gospel
~Forget not that the Lord loves you

I loved his message he shared at the General Relief Society Meeting. I already knew I loved President Uchtdorf!!  His testimony of the gospel is so rich and inspiring.  I felt like I was the only one in the room and he was speaking directly to me.

I know what I needed to hear most was this:

FORGET NOT TO BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF
"Dear sisters, many of you are endlessly compassionate and patient
with the weaknesses of others,"he added.
"Please remember also to be compassionate and patient with yourself."

I am so glad I heard this loving reminder by President Uchtdorf. I know I am hard on myself.  Being a stay-at-home mom is much more demanding in every aspect of my life then I could of ever imagined it to be.  That being said, there is no other place I'd rather be then in my home raising my kids.  I am thankful for a heavenly father who is patient & loving.

"I Love To See The Temple"

F.H.E Hike

Best part about our LONG hike was standing here and
Ashlee on her own begun to sing,
"I love to see the temple. I am going there someday!"

Potty Trained

Chase said, "No More Diapers Mommy!"  What a Wonderful phrase to hear from my little 3 year old.  I should have known that this day was near.  Chase had been telling me for a few months that he was going to use the potty when he turned 3.  I was a little nervous to allow this, "no diaper thing", at BEDTIME!  Why at bedtime?? Okay, Chase, I guess I am a little brave or too BRAVE.  Maybe, I just didn't want the battle or maybe I just wanted him to realize waking up wet was no fun!  Chase had his own plan and he showed me....
Day 1:
woke up dry
earned 11 quarters
no accident's
Day 2:
woke up dry
earned a ton more quarter's
1 accident at Grandma's
Day 3:
woke up dry
more quarter's and even a dollar for #2
no accident's
Day 4:
woke up dry
more quarter's and one dollar
no accident's
too many quarter's to count
Day 5:
woke up dry
more quarter's and one dollar
NO ACCIDENT'S

Woo-hoo!!! No more diaper's!
Chase has big plans with all the money he has collected.
He wants a Jessie doll and the big green dinosaur from Toy Story.
He is a little obsessed with Toy Story!!
Oh, Happy Day!
