"Forget-Me-Not"

A post I never posted......
I love the SIMPLE beauty of this flower!  I didn't even know there was a "Forget-me-not" flower.  Who knew it was ALASKA'S state flower??

Words from President Uchtdorf:
"No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you.  In fact, He loves you, with an infinite love."
Using the forget-me-not flower as a metaphor, President Uchtdorf noted that although the flower is small in size, and easily unnoticed among larger flowers, it is still beautiful and vibrant.

President Uchtdorf tied the five petals of the forget-me-not flower to five things women should not forget.

~Forget not to be patient with yourself
~Forget not the difference between a good sacrifice and a foolish sacrifice
~Forget not to be happy now
~Forget not to be be happy now
~Forget not the "why" of the gospel
~Forget not that the Lord loves you

I loved his message he shared at the General Relief Society Meeting. I already knew I loved President Uchtdorf!!  His testimony of the gospel is so rich and inspiring.  I felt like I was the only one in the room and he was speaking directly to me.

I know what I needed to hear most was this:

FORGET NOT TO BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF
"Dear sisters, many of you are endlessly compassionate and patient
with the weaknesses of others,"he added.
"Please remember also to be compassionate and patient with yourself."

I am so glad I heard this loving reminder by President Uchtdorf. I know I am hard on myself.  Being a stay-at-home mom is much more demanding in every aspect of my life then I could of ever imagined it to be.  That being said, there is no other place I'd rather be then in my home raising my kids.  I am thankful for a heavenly father who is patient & loving.
